The Astypalaia Cultural and Educational Association (P.M.S.A.) was founded in 1978 and serves as the guardian of our island’s traditions.
The association’s objectives, as outlined in its bylaws, are:
1. To strengthen the sense of shared heritage and to foster friendship and trust among the Association’s members and, more broadly, among all Astypaleans.
2. To cultivate a spirit of solidarity among all members.
3. The study and promotion of issues related to the social, intellectual, and cultural development of members.
4. The recreation of Association members.
5. Providing moral support and material assistance to any Astypalian in need.
6. Providing assistance, within the limits of the Association’s resources, and supporting every Astypalian initiative.
