The Association of Parents, Guardians, and Friends of People with Disabilities of Naxos works to support people with disabilities and their families, defend their rights, and promote their social participation. As part of its operations, it develops initiatives for information, counseling, and psychosocial support, while collaborating with healthcare professionals and relevant local government agencies.
The Association operates a non-profit Specialized Therapy Center, facilitating beneficiaries’ access to speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, and other specialized interventions. At the same time, it carries out awareness-raising initiatives in the local community aimed at promoting equality, inclusion, and accessibility. Through the collective efforts of parents and friends, it seeks to create a stable framework for supporting and empowering people with disabilities in Naxos.
