The Syros Photography and Film Club was founded in 2007 by amateur photography enthusiasts. It organizes at least two group exhibitions by its members each year, as well as photography workshops at various levels that are open to the public. The weekly meetings, held in a space provided by the Municipality of Syros-Ermoupoli, foster a pleasant, friendly atmosphere among members while also providing inspiration for photography (monthly theme, photo outings, photo critiques, studies of renowned Greek and foreign photographers, and documentary screenings). From time to time, the group organizes tributes to great photographers, screenings of related films, photography contests, and collaborations with other cultural and artistic associations.
