In order to fill the gap in the field of care for the disabled on the island, the association for disabled people of Tinos “We have a right” contributes with health therapists, professionals of the kind as well as volunteers, so as to offer people with disabilities activities, education, socialization and entertainment.
Its goal is to improve the daily life and functionality of people with disabilities, because the environment is welcoming for them at home where they spend a lot of time, but, inevitably, it results in their rapid regression in the field of socialization, as well as not using skills that they had managed to develop while attending school.
Music therapy, dance, gymnastics, crafts, art, discussions, group games, entertainment and occupational or speech therapy for younger children are some of the activities offered to its members by the association.
It also participates – where possible – in activities of other organizations of the island.
