“Barren Line Fertile” and Strong Me | Movement for the Prevention and Combating of Gender-Based Violence
in collaboration with the Social Structures of the Municipality of Naxos and Small Cyclades – Community Center – Community Pharmacy:
The Organizations “Barren Line Fertile” and Strong Me | Movement for the Prevention and Combating of Gender-Based Violence, under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and in collaboration with the Social Structures of the Municipality of Naxos and the Small Cyclades – Community Center – Community Pharmacy – are holding a two-day awareness-raising event entitled “Women Strong Together” on March 19-20, 2022.
More specifically, on Saturday March 19, at 18:00, an open event will be held at the Amphitheater of the General High School of Naxos “M. Glezos”, with the following speakers:
Aspasia Theophilou, Founder of the organization Strong Me
Maria Zouridaki, survivor of gender violence
Maria Tzoumaka, Lawyer (Criminal, Civil Law)
Efthymia Adamidou, Systemic / Family Psychotherapist
In the context of the event, longitudinal data on gender-based violence will be presented and topics, such as the forms, signs and treatment of gender-based violence, its effects and risks at physical, psychological, emotional and mental level, the effects of the pandemic COVID-19, dealing with phenomena of violence, etc. will be discussed.
On the second day of the event, it will be possible to confidentially discuss any topic that each interested party wants to share in a protected and discreet environment.
The prescribed measures to protect public health from Covid-19 will be observed during the event.
