On the occasion of the completion of the field surveys in 15 Municipalities as well as in the 13 Community Centers of the islands of the South Aegean Region, yesterday, February 10, 2022, the presentation of the research results of the surveys was held through a digital workshop.
The purpose of the field surveys was to investigate the conditions of poverty and social exclusion at the level of the island and regional unit, but also their effects at individual, family and social level.
Both the procedure followed to conduct the surveys from July to October 2021, as well as the quantitative and qualitative findings resulting from them were presented. The next actions of the Observatory were also discussed.
We would once again like to thank all the participants and all our partners for their presence in the digital workshop, as well as for their support with our project. We hope that the findings of the Observatory’s study will be a trigger for more targeted social policies aimed at alleviating the weaker socially and economically.
